Rainmaker's ViewCentral Platform to Support Company's Live
and Virtual Customer and Employee Training Events

Campbell, Calif. – January 9, 2008 – Rainmaker Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: RMKR), a leading provider of sales and marketing solutions combining hosted application software and execution services, today announced it has signed a contract with Magma(R) Design Automation Inc. (NASDAQ: LAVA) - a provider of electronic design automation (EDA) products to the world's major semiconductor manufacturers - to deploy its ViewCentral™ Classroom and vClassroom Learning Management Services (LMS) platform for the company's customers and employees.

Rainmaker's VC Classroom, vClassroom and eLearning platforms will be deployed to drive online registration and help increase attendance for Magma's face-to-face on-site training events, on-demand and live, instructor-led virtual courses and events.

The ViewCentral platform is a fully-hosted, online software application that supports all aspects of live and virtual training programs and events including scheduling, advertising, registration, payments, follow-up communications and reporting needs.

"Rainmaker's ViewCentral platform is precisely what we've been looking for as a management system with a full complement of reporting and record keeping capabilities."

Rainmaker's Web-based solution also includes a Magma-branded, self-service registration facility to fully automate registration, enabling attendees to self-register any time of the day or night and automatically receive online confirmation, meeting information and reminders. Registrants are also able to sync directly to their personal Microsoft Outlook calendars.

"Our ViewCentral platform is specifically designed to help clients improve productivity and shorten training cycles for their customers, partners and employees," said Michael Silton, Rainmaker's CEO. "We are pleased that Magma recognizes the value ViewCentral delivers to the bottom line and has selected us to help boost enrollment, increase revenue and control administrative costs for their training events."
