Business Development Associate

Position Summary

Develops and solicits new accounts, generates sales leads, and handles customer inquiries. Works with team members in the field including field sales. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.

Essential Functions
  • Make prospecting telephone calls for the represented client for the purpose to obtain a pre-sale lead and create product or service exposure
  • Manage assigned territory through maintaining customer relationships, evaluating needs and assessing opportunities for appropriate product sales and services
  • Emphasize features and benefits of represented product/service
  • Meet and exceed quotas and performance metrics
  • Ensure pertinent information is entered in the database
  • Actively participate in assigned sales training, lectures, presentations and meetings
Qualifications
  • Requires high phone activity
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively over the telephone
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to function in a PC environment
  • Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
